Four day intensive with Peter Frame

We will be welcoming Peter Frame, New York City Ballet, for a four day intensive from July 31, through August 3.

Intermediate level class will be held from 9:00am – 10:00 am each day.  Cost is $130.00, with a $50 non-refundable deposit due at registration and will apply to your final payment.

Advanced class level will be held from 10:00 – 11:30am each day. Cost is $150.00, with a $50 non-refundable deposit due at registration and will apply to your final payment.

River City Youth Ballet Ensemble, the Official Youth Ballet for the State of WV, presents, SNOW WHITE, adapted from the Brothers Grimm. Boys and girls of all ages are sure to enjoy this captivating ballet of a charming princess saved from the evil deeds of her step-mother, the Queen, by a group of adorable seven dwarfs.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children (ages 3-12), all seats are general admission. They can now be purchased in the studio, by calling 304-925-3262, or at the door on December 2.

There is a school performance on Friday, December 2, at 9:15am. Tickets are $4 each per student. Make your reservations now by calling 304-925-3262.

Mike Winland is a self-taught portrait and art photographer. He has owned and operated Mike Winland Studios in Charleston since 1998. When working with models, he is known for his soft-spoken, yet specific guidance, allowing him to capture the essence of model and light in perfect harmony.

Special 1-week Intensive with Nina Danilova

 

CLASSES ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, UPON APPROVAL.  COMMUTERS WELCOME, LIMITED HOUSING AVAILABLE.

One week intensive with Nina Danilova includes an intermediate class from 10:00 – 11:30 am and an advanced level class from 12:00 – 1:30 pm.  Intermediate class includes all RCYBE Jr. Company and Company Apprentice members and is $150 for the week.   Advanced level includes all RCYBE Company members, 45 minutes of Pointe work daily, and is $175.00 for the week.   A $50 non-refundable deposit is required at registration and will apply to your tuition.

 

Nina Danilova studied for nine years at the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in Saint Petersburg, Russia. After graduation, she joined the world famous company of the Kirov Ballet and later danced with the Moscow State Ballet Theatre. While performing, Danilova continued her education, graduating from the Russian University of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in Moscow, and becoming a professional teacher, ballet mistress, and contributing editor for the magazine Soviet Ballet. She was also choreographic editor for the book Thirty Classical Ballets from Russian Choreographers, published in Moscow and around the world. In 1991, Danilova was invited to Pacific Northwest Ballet to teach and joined the school faculty. In 1996, she became a faculty member of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where she continues to work to this day. In 2014, Oxford University Press in New York City began publishing Danilova’s book Eight Female Classical Ballet Variations.
